ROLE/RESPONSIBILITY:
Tickreel is seeking a Web Infrastructure Architect / Engineer that can take the lead in building out a specialized large-scale distributed system. The company is embarking on a new space with enormous market potential and we are seeking top engineers to help us execute our vision. The candidate must have significant experience in designing data-intensive and large scale web systems. The candidate will join a first-class team consisting of experienced entrepreneurs (over $50 million in venture raised in past companies) and PhD’s from top technology companies.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Significant experience architecting highly scalable, data-intensive systems where large data sets need to be partitioned across many machines
- Experience building high fan-out high throughput messaging infrastructure
- Experience with publish / subscribe technologies desirable
- Coding experience a definite plus
- Comfortable in a startup, self-directed environment
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• BS degree or equivalent
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
• Must be detailed oriented
COMPENSATION
Until the company raises its first round of funding, compensation will be solely in the form of options / equity in company. The expected timing of raising capital will be Q4 2009. If you have the ability to work full-time or part-time on such a project, this is a rare opportunity to join a truly disruptive startup in the early stages.
